Madeline is 9 months

9 months old and getting cuter by the minute!  It seems like almost every day someone will comment on how she looks just like her big sister.  I think Claire gets a kick out of it and I agree because their baby pictures do look alike!  Madeline is starting to understand more and become more social with us.  She now knows what "no" means even though she doesn't always choose to stop what we are telling her to stop doing.  She is very strong and proved it to me the other day at Target.  I had her strapped in the front seat of the cart where I thought she would be happy and not do anything crazy.  As I started to push the cart she somehow managed to turn all the way around while being strapped in, grab the back of the seat and stand up!  What the?  How is that even possible I still don't know!  I think I need a 5 point harness to keep this child safe so I'm not sure how I am going to survive shopping with her now that she isn't in the bucket seat anymore.

Madeline is starting to make all kinds of new sounds and screams with joy and excitement sometimes which is funny.  One new thing I am not a fan of is grinding her teeth.  Oh how I hate this sound but I know all babies usually do this at some point.  She has started to try and walk while pushing things.  She loves to push the dining room chairs around.  Last night she even figured out how to push the little tikes car around that Blake and Claire used when they were babies.  After a few tries she started going in a circle around the house.  Bumping into everything along the way and when she couldn't get it to turn she would just pick up the back end and repeatedly bang it on the floor in an effort to get it to move.  She is loving this new form of movement and how fast she can go with wheels in front of her.  Watch out, she is on her way to learning how to walk!  My arms will thank her a thousand times!  I could really use some relief from carrying her around!  She had her 9 month check up and weighed in at 23lbs. 10oz.  She was 1oz. lighter than Claire at 9 months!  Her height is 2' 4.35 inches which puts her in the 78 percentile for height.  I think we are going to have two tall girls in the future!
