Last week Claire had her first day of preschool. I thought it would be a smooth transition back into the swing of things since she attended the same preschool last year. Boy was I wrong! The first day she melted to the floor and didn't want to go into her room. Not the reaction I was expecting but I guess it's hard to go back after a long summer break. Luckily she got over it and the teacher convinced her it would be ok. They do a phasing in process so she only went for an hour the first day and she did fine. Day two I didn't know what to expect but it was like a different girl walked into the school. I walked her to her room and she went right in, barely saying bye. Wow, what a difference a day makes! We are now in week two and Claire has started staying for lunch 3 days a week. I thought she might have trouble with this new routine but she is totally into it. She loves bringing her owl lunchbox and eating with her friends. I miss having my little chatter box eat lunch with me but I know this is a great experience for her and will help her get ready for next year. We are so proud of her and how much confidence she has at school now. She talks about the "little kids" in her class that are only 3...haha.
I think being 4 means you rule the school now?
I know that by the end of this year she will be ready for the next big step...Kindergarten!
Madeline was so excited when her big sis came home from school!
Girl Party!

What a couple of cuties! Have fun at school, Claire!
