Last week Blake started First Grade! Funny how big of a step this is from Kindergarten. Yes the day is longer but I feel like he is such a big kid now and full of confidence. When we went to meet his teacher before school started the first thing he told her was that he was doing 3rd grade math over the summer. He loves math and thinks doing multiplication is fun so I got him some math books from target and he loved it. So far when I ask him how his day was he translates that into...what did you do at recess today? haha...the day is long so it is hard to remember what happened! I am so glad he is having fun at school and can't wait to see what he learns this year!

These two have become good friends since he moved in last winter.
I think I forgot to mention that Blake learned how to ride his bike right before his 6th birthday! We didn't have any place to ride when we moved here since we were renting so it took us a while to find the time and place to take him. He was so motivated that he figured it out in two days. Now he loves it and can't get enough.
I thought the bike was enough excitement for turning 6 but then the other day he decided to spend his birthday money on a skateboard. I had some mixed feelings about this but he really likes it and promises to always wear his helmet! He had to get a ninja turtle skateboard of course to fit in with all of his other turtles gear. Can't get enough of those turtles!
