The photos are getting harder to take these days. This one doesn't sit still for long! She has kicked it into high gear this month and took her first steps! She is not walking yet but will take a few steps if you hold her up, let her get her balance and then back away. You can tell that the wheels are spinning in that little head. She just needs to gain the confidence that she can do it. I was able to capture a little bit on video yesterday.
Her babble is getting a little clearer, at least the mama and dada is understandable. She has started using them more and not only when she is mad so that has been more enjoyable. She used to only yell mama when I was changing her or doing something she didn't want me to do. This girl knows what she wants and isn't afraid to let you know it. She points at things she wants and if you don't get the message she just keeps yelling and pointing. We were at a birthday party for Blake's friend and everyone was eating pizza. She noticed this and the fact that she wasn't getting any and started pointing at the pizza and starring at me. I wouldn't usually give a baby pizza but I thought what the heck. She really wanted some and was going to let everyone know it soon so I let her have a few tiny bites. Of course she loved it like everything else. She really hasn't turned many foods away.
We decided to do a pasta shirtless dinner the other night. So great that she can eat some of the same foods as Blake and Claire! Meals are starting to get a little easier to prepare. She is in a phase of wanting to only feed herself so the more finger foods the better.
She not only uses the push car to walk but now likes to swing her leg over and ride on it. Usually backwards so she can hold onto the handle. One of her favorite times of the day is when daddy gets home. She hears his voice or one of the kids say daddy and she high tails it for the door. Ben usually can't even make it to the kitchen before she is pulling up on his leg begging to be picked up.
Just like everyone else in the house she has to do her computer work.
She has also picked up the idea of reading to herself.
She loves to look through books and babble away.
Big bro loves to read stories to her and Claire also tries to read or make up stories while showing her the pictures.
Curious and always trying to open the cabinets!
Pajamas from my Aunt Marilyn who lives in Alaska. Claire was jealous and wants pajamas with a "butt flap" too! HAHA
They fit well, I had to laugh thought because it kind of looks like she is wearing a wet suit.
More pics...
Happy 10 months baby girl!

I like the jammies with the "butt flap!" She's growing up so fast! Happy 10 months, Madeline!
