Freedom for "Self"

Today I decided to make a change that I am probably going to regret tomorrow at 6:30 am.  

I changed Claire's crib into a toddler bed!  She has attempted to climb out of it many times and this morning she actually showed me she could do it by herself so I thought I better make the change before she started tumbling out on a daily basis.  She likes to refer to herself as "self".  When she put her leg up on the crib to attempt the escape I went to help her and she yelled "self!  self!".  Which if you have been to our house lately you know she also says this when you try to help her eat something or take off her coat or anything else she is determined to do.  Anyway, A big step towards becoming a "big kid".  I could tell she was so happy to have her freedom, she practiced many times how to get in and out by herself and then her and Blake had to fill up her "new" bed with every toy in their room.  Looks like they are both excited for this new arrangement!
