On Friday when Blake got home from daycare there was a little surprise up in his room. It couldn't have been too much of a surprise though, since he was with us at IKEA when we bought him his new bed.
He likes the animals on the bedspread.
And the animals on the bed.
And of course he likes to pretend he's a monkey, jumping on his bed.
Luckily he didn't fall and hit his head. The smile means he likes it so far, even if he hasn't slept there yet. We are doing a slow transition so he doesn't feel forced into it when the baby arrives.
The new bed looks great, and Blake seems to like it, too. He might go from toddler to teenager and start sleeping until noon, spending time in his room, on his bed with his laptop.
