I think this month we have spent a lot of time wondering is there a tooth in there yet? Madeline has just about every sign of teething except actual teeth! She is still pleasant and content most of the time so maybe she just likes to chew on things. This picture I took kind of reminds me of the gerber baby...haha. One more month and we will get her started trying real food! I can't believe it!
Her new found love is her feet. She grabs for them every chance she gets. It hasn't been that warm here yet so they are covered up most of the time but once in a while they are out and she loves it! She has also reached the phase of being in love with tags. Tags on blankets, toys, shirts, she will find it and put it in her mouth. I think we are finally settling into a routine of sorts so the days are easier to manage with getting everyone in the right place at the right time.
She sleeps every night from about 9pm to 5:30 or 6 and we are loving it! She still takes a lot of naps in the car while I am picking up and dropping off the other kids but I think that is just the life of the third child. She enjoys looking out the window of the car now and makes all sorts of noises as she watches the changing scenery. I think she enjoys the action instead of being stuck at home all the time. She is curious about everything and watches the kids and Otis a lot trying to understand what is going on I think. It must all seem a little crazy from her perspective. Even though she is only 5 months I think her stranger anxiety is pretty high. She doesn't like to be held by people she doesn't recognize, especially if I hand her to a friend just for a minute so I can help one of the other kids. She likes to keep her circle of trusted people small I guess.
We tried sitting in a chair this time. She is a little tipsy so it didn't last long!
I think she might have more hair than the other kids had at this stage.
I know it doesn't look like much but for one of our kids it seems thicker to me?
She still thinks I'm crazy with the camera! I don't blame her but I have to get pics of this sweet face!
Her and Otis enjoying some tummy time and sunshine!
They are about the same size...haha
She reached out to pet him the other day and Otis was a good sport.
Afterwards he jumped off the couch and looked at me like
"where is my treat? Did you see what I just put up with?"
The brother and sister taking turns holding baby.
Then Claire insisted that I get my picture taken!
Not bad for a almost 4 year old taking a picture with an iPod!
A rare nap in an actual place meant for sleeping!
We got out some baby toys that Blake and Claire played with.
She is loving all the new things to explore and chew on.
Sneaky sister trying to play with Claire's blocks. I put her down on the blanket and ran to help Claire with the potty. I came back a minute later and she had rolled her way over to what she wanted!
Look out kids, your toys won't be safe for long!

Wow, talk about big, blue eyes! She's a cutie! Five months already! All the kids look great!
