I can't believe September is almost over! This month is flying by! I thought we would be less busy with Blake in preschool but it feels like we are running around most of the day. Getting ready in the morning and out the door is starting to get a little easier but is still challenging! Blake loves school and Claire is loving all the new activities she is involved in. She is so excited to actually get to participate in things by herself instead of watching big brother from the sidelines.
Claire has replaced Blake with her new friend George. I think we will be visiting him a lot this fall!
We love going to Starbucks and having some girl time in the morning once in a while.
Claire even decided it was ok to wear a headband one day, it only lasted a few hours but at least we are making an attempt to have some sort of hair style. She still won't let me put any clips in it!
Otis enjoys quiet mornings to himself of course.
Blake comes home from school with all sorts of stories to tell.
He loves to talk on the phone so feel free to give him a call and chat about his day!
My favorite quotes so far:
"Today one of my teachers had a blue dress...her name is Mrs. Cloud but she isn't a cloud...she is a teacher!"
(He still thought I didn't believe him because later in the week when I picked him up and the teacher walked him out to the car he said "see mommy, I told you she isn't a cloud!"
another funny thing he told me...
Blake - "Today at snack we had carrots"
Me - Did you eat them?
Blake - "No, they forgot that I don't like carrots, I'm not old enough to eat those yet."
Both kids are taking gymnastics at different times of the day. I was able to take this little video when Blake had his class. You can see him in the mirror, he is wearing a green shirt. I took the video so you can hear the "Hang on Sloopy" musics that they warm up to. Instead of O-H-I-O the kids scream head-shoulders-knees-toes! Our kids were a little confused by this but everyone else seemed to know what was going on. I guess they start the Ohio State stuff early around here!
We took both kids to the science museum yesterday. They had a special Curious George section that they both loved. We ended up getting a membership because I think this will be a good place to go when Blake is in school and on the weekends with the kids!
Still a lot to explore in Cbus, having fun checking things out so far!
