Yesterday our little man turned 4! Just like every year I can't believe he is a year older! Since we already had his party in Providence before we left we did a low key celebration here in Columbus. The theme changed to Shaun the Sheep / Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Blake requested a Shaun the sheep cake so I tried my best to make one. It was a pirate filled day for sure, kind of a strange combo of themes!
We started the day out with Mr. B's favorite, Dunkin Donuts!
In New England this isn't a big deal since they are on every other block but in Ohio it was a bit more challenging. Ben had to drive 11 miles away to get them! I think we might need to find a local bakery!
Claire decided the only part you need to eat is the part with the chocolate.
Next it was time to find some treasure! The gift we got Blake was already assembled so we couldn't wrap it. I decided to just put it in the closet and make it a treasure hunt. He was so excited that every gift for the rest of the day was referred to as treasure. He kept asking "can I open some more treasure?"
So thrilled to have a scooter like the "big" kids.
Even Baby Claire got a turn eventually.
After lunch and some time in the pool we had the Shaun the Sheep cake. I am glad Blake thought it actually looked like Shaun the Sheep cuz I wasn't so sure when I was frosting it at 10pm.
Lots of pirate gear! Uncle Joe was helping figure things out.
Claire was jealous of Blake's bandana so we had to make her one.
Being a pirate is exhausting!
