18 Months

Claire is 18 months now (aka 1-1/2 years old).  I really hate this counting in months thing, I have to calculate in my head every time someone asks "how old is she?".  She is miss independent for sure and in her head I'm sure she thinks she is 3 like her brother.  She tries so hard to do everything he does and most of the time is successful.  Her newest thing is crawling up the stairs just to practice walking down them holding onto the railing like a big girl.  This totally freaks me out but I guess it is a good thing that she wants to practice.  Her other obsession at the moment is shoes.  I am guessing this won't be a passing phase but she is very into her shoes and will refuse to wear certain kinds if she prefers a different pair.  I didn't know a 18 month old could be so into fashion!  She loves to wear rain boots around the house, even over pajamas which doesn't make any sense but we just let her do her thing.  She also decided that the owl costume can totally be an everyday wardrobe item even though Halloween was last week.  We went to the doctor today and she is still charting in the 90th percentile for weight and the 75th for height.  Watch out Blake, sister is catching up fast!
