Yesterday I went and bought a few things to prepare for the hurricane. Being from the midwest I probably bought more stuff than we actually need but at least we don't have to worry about running out of diapers! We have no idea how bad it is going to be but there is a good chance we will lose power at some point so I bought a new flashlight just in case. Blake decided he should test it out to make sure it works. Hopefully "the sun" doesn't burn out before the storm hits!
Batten down the hatches, so they say, hope you got extra batteries for the "sun". Stay safe, hope you don't lose power, if you do, hope you've got extra ice and an ice chest for the milk, and other essentials. Good luck, hope to talk to you this weekend.

We have lots of batteries and I have hidden "the sun" until it is actually needed. Now we wait and see what Irene has in store for us. One of our neighbors has boards on their windows but I think they are a little over the top.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update. We'll all be thinking about you . . . and of course, calling numerous times! It does look like the storm is a bit weaker this morning . . . that's good. But they are still talking about a lot of rain and some wind. So, be careful and I hope all goes well.
