Claire is 3!

On April 30th Claire turned 3!  

The only thing she asked for was an owl cake so I had to get creative and make that happen!

We started the day with donuts of course and then got dressed up for music class.  When the kids woke up Blake made an announcement in an Oprah voice..."I don't have to go to school today...because it's Claire's Birthday!!!"  I thought that was a bit of a stretch but we let him stay home so he could have a fun birthday day with his sister.

Blake decided this is the new way to show you are 3...Claire kept telling him he was doing it wrong!

Claire wanted to eat cake right when she woke up.  

I had to explain that it wasn't even in the oven yet.  She had fun watching the cake cook and practicing how to hold up 3 fingers.  It is harder than you think!

It was just the four of us but Claire had lots of fun opening presents, with the help of big brother of course.

They spent a lot of time feeding the cabbage patch kid from Aunt Carolyn!

Blake decided we needed a family shot so we set up the camera on the timer and huddled up.
