Changes

There has been so much going on around here that I haven't had much time to blog lately.  I started working part time at my friend's architecture firm, the kids started going to "school"(daycare) two days a week, and we just put our house on the market April 2nd.  Thankfully everything is working out well so far and we even have two offers on the house with another two expected tomorrow morning after only 10 days on the market!  Maybe the economy is actually turning around?  We did a lot of things to get the house ready of course.  If you have seen the pictures online you probably don't even recognize the house because it has never been this clean and tidy!  One of the big changes we made recently was to the kitchen counters.  After many expensive quotes to replace our mauve counters with granite, solid surface, laminate, or butcher block we decided to do none of the above.  I found a granite paint kit and decided to try it out.  I think it made a huge difference and only cost 70 bucks!  I know that it isn't going to fool anyone into thinking it is granite but at least it gets the pink out of potential buyers mind.  Anyway, just wanted to let you know why the blog has been lacking lately.  Hopefully the house will be sold soon and we can focus on the upcoming move!
