Birding

As some of you know, Blake and Claire have been given many birding related gifts from their Great Aunt Kathy and Grand Uncle Arn (who love to go birding).  Bird books, puzzles, hats, bird feeders, etc., and they love it all!  Blake and Claire both love animals like most kids but the other day Blake took it to another level.  We were going to play dress up and I asked him what he wanted to be.  A cowboy?  A doctor?  and he said "No mommy, A bird watcher!" and he went and grabbed his Audubon hat and "noculars" (binoculars) and was ready to play!  I really tried hard not to laugh because it wasn't a bad idea, just not the first idea most kids would have when asked to play dress up.  Of course Claire the copycat is catching onto this idea also and does her own idea of birding....

I think I see something!

Her favorite reading material in the car is the Audubon Society field guide!

I think these two might be ready to hit the trails this summer to look for some wildlife!
