We had a strange Halloween this year. Who has ever heard of a snow storm the day before Halloween? Blake woke up on the 30th and said "bye bye Halloween...snow and santa!" He saw the snow and went straight outside. So we spent a lot of time making mini snowmen and snowballs during the day and then carved pumpkins that night. Our annual block Halloween party and parade were cut short due to the weather. The parade was more like a sprint around the block and we were in last place once again! We were fortunate that we only got a few inches and it pretty much melted by Halloween morning.
I wasn't sure if Blake was really going to go trick or treating this year but he actually went through with it. It was really cute to see him walking with his little bucket. We made it all the way around the block but only went up to about 8 houses, the rest were "too scary" according to Blake. He was more excited to see all the kids outside at night, he thought that was pretty fun. When we made it back to our house he was scared of our pumpkins because they were lit up, I had to carry him up the sidewalk just to get him back inside!
He had to show off his candy to his sister of course. He didn't want to eat any of it, I'm not sure if he knows what candy is which is kind of funny. I think Claire just wanted the bucket anyway.
The T-Rex had to give baby duck a kiss!
Claire turned 6 months old! Our little duck has 3 teeth now and can pretty much sit up by herself. We went to the doctor today and she weighs 20 pounds! She can push herself around on the floor pretty well but I wouldn't call it crawling yet. She loves to do this move that looks a little like the downward dog yoga pose. Her head is on the ground and then she pushes up and her knees aren't on the ground anymore, just her toes. It seems like she wants to skip crawling and just figure out how to stand up.
I almost forgot to take the picture with her doll!
Happy Halloween!
What great pictures! They are a couple of real cuties! And Claire certainly is growing fast. I don't remember her having big orange feet, though . . . what happened?! Happy Halloween and Happy Winter!

Happy cold Halloween to you guys! Looks like everyone had a good time and were freaking adorable! Tell Blake he needs to save his candy for when he's waiting up all night for Santa and needs a snack. ;)
