We had family in town for the long weekend and really nice weather. Grandma O'Donnell and Aunt Julia were here and Blake was more than excited to see them. The Jack-o-lantern Spectacular at the zoo started this weekend so we decided to go with the kids and pray that Blake wouldn't be scared. Up until the night we saw the jack-o-lanterns ( aka hot halloween), Blake walked around saying "hot halloween...scary!"
This was Claire's first night outing, I think she actually was awake for most of it. We had to wait in line for a long time but thankfully they were both awake to see the pumpkins. It was a little scary for Blake at first but then he really enjoyed it.
The theme was "A Journey Around the World". They carve thousands of pumpkins for this event, it is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. This is our second year attending and I am sure we will be back next year. I think Claire was a little confused and amazed at all the people and glowing pumpkins.
I had to take a picture of the Harry Potter Pumpkin for Ben of course. They always have some pop culture pumpkins towards the end.
Blake was giving out hugs to everyone all weekend. He loves to have visitors! Thanks for the fun weekend Grandma O. and Aunt Julia! The kids can't wait for your next visit!
