Today was Claire's one month doctor visit. It was also the first time I have ventured out of the house with both kids and no assistance from Ben or a family member. It actually went quite well, Blake was a good helper and didn't fuss at all. I told him we were taking the baby to the doctor so the whole time he kept saying doctor...doctor....doctor. He likes to practice new words. Everyone in the doctor's office thought it was funny, it sounded more like ducktor than doctor. He watched his little sister weigh in and get measured. I was just as shocked as when Blake turned one month to hear the weight from the nurse. Claire is growing very fast, she now weighs 11 lbs 8oz! I hope that means she will be sleeping through the night soon? That is over 4 lbs in just one month! She was 21-1/4" long so at least she is also growing up, not just out. That explains why my wrist and arms are already sore! The doctor said keep doing what we are doing, her weight will plateau eventually.

Wow, look how amazingly fast they grow! How much she has changed in such a short period of time! It takes a lot of energy to get so big, no wonder sleep is so important now, for everybody. She looks great. Congratulations every one, and thanks for the announcement, it came today.
